SUMMARY:A Man and his Shed – Herbert George Mullard and the Cowley Concrete Company\, 1895 to 1976
DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Martin Buckland \nMartin tells the story of the company ‘Bert’ Mullard started in his shed in Cowley in 1923 but soon moved to north Abingdon to a site that is now the Radley Green estate. Bert was active in local government and a generous benefactor to the town. Martin has a keen interest in industrial archaeology and is a volunteer with Didcot Railway Centre\, the Wilts & Berks Canal Trust and Abingdon Museum. \nVisitors are very welcome to attend our meetings (suggested donation £3). \nDoors open at 7 pm.
