Canopy over Pulpit in Radley Church. Envelope containing copy correspondence and papers 1990-91 of Rosemary Smith of 3 Bowgrave Copse, Peachcroft Estate, Abingdon re the canopy, by tradition said to be the canopy which hung over Mr Speaker William Lenthall’s Chair in the House of Commons, 1640-53. The documents are:
(i) Copy correspondence July 1990 - May 1991.
(ii) Two black and white photos of the Canopy.
(iii) Extracts from Radley Church and Parish by Sydney E. Allso, 1971, being the chapters entitled The Parish Church and After the Dissolution of the Abbey.
